Evaluating the City Council's Interest

This initiative involves various Borough Councils and various administrative sectors; it therefore requires a mutual commitment guaranteed by the Mayor. It must be clear to the politicians that the choice of this experience is not finalized only at giving back a right to the children, such as that of being able to move around autonomously in their environment (a right demanded by the children in the name of other disadvantaged minorities too such as the elderly, and the handicapped), but also to the sustainable development of the City.
A Work Group should be formed made up of representatives of the various councils and administrative sectors: Education. Public Works, Urban Mobility, City Police, Social Services, Urban Issues, Traffic Signals, Trade. An adequate coordination among the administrative sectors seems to be one of the most problematic aspects. This work group, coordinated by the "City of Children" Laboratory can plan and follow the experience from all the aspects that the administration takes upon itself.
