We go to school alone

Choosing the school or schools

It is opportune to start with a limited experience that is easily controllable. It seems excessively prudent and perhaps not very significant to begin with single classes, but it might be suitable to start with one school. It is best to choose one attended by a majority of students who are residents of the neighbourhood and with a well defined pool of users. It is worthwhile to begin with a school where there is a high probability of success, therefore, where there is a faculty of teachers interested in taking on this job proposal. In order to favour the participation of all the children, even those that live far away, a "pedestrian perimeter" is defined around the school and some meeting points for the children. Whoever comes from far away can be accompanied and picked up at the meeting points instead of in front of the school.
Each year the number of schools involved should increase and in a few years' time the idea should be extended to the whole city: the experience will then be easier and it will be more probable that a new "normality" be created regarding going to school on one's own.
