We go to school alone

The initiative at work

It is easy to obtain good results after a year of work, but to conserve the levels obtained it is necessary to maintain a high level of commitment. On the one hand the educational techniques will have to be renewed with the first classes; on the other, programs will have to be developed that involve and commit the children and their families in other classes. In each school a Children's Committee is set up that will follow the experience, control its progress by means of monthly surveys and try to face the difficulties it meets. A "Pedestrian's License" can be studied and then one for cyclists and the children can be involved in surveillance activities regarding their rights as pedestrians and cyclists. The laboratory within the school "The Bicycle: A Myth" can be organized.
Once this experience is activated, a series of activities are begun aimed at training the young pedestrians and cyclists.
The children utilize the children's Traffic Fines (also called moral fines) to denounce the abuses of adults against pedestrians.
