We go to school alone
The Allies
The involvement of the environmentalist associations, the retailers, artisans and the elderly can favour the receptiveness of the social environment of the neighbourhoods involved. The reconstruction of an environment based on solidarity and cooperation is one of the objectives of the proposal and one of the most important needs of our cities today. The elderly can help the children cross the street in the most dangerous places; the retailers and the artisans can offer their shops as a point of reference for any possible needs of the children walking alone. A particular category, that is worthwhile involving, is that of the older children, those in the middle and high schools, asking them to be especially prudent with their motorbikes and for some form of participation in favour of the autonomy of the younger children.
Pediatricians strongly recommend that children walk and play freely, both for the purpose of avoiding child obesity and developing good response and reaction skills when confronting themselves with the environment.
