We go to school alone
As a first contribution towards giving back some autonomy to the children, those ranging from the age of six to eleven are asked to go to school and come back on their own without being accompanied by an adult. This activity, until twenty, thirty years ago was absolutely normal and today is considered impossible. To achieve this it is necessary to carry out a long effort, which respects the fears of the families with the contribution of various social categories so as to reconstruct favourable environmental and social conditions.
Succeeding in the activity is not only an important contribution towards the healthy development of children and lightening the load of family responsibilities, but also a notable contribution towards the reconstruction of an atmosphere in the neighbourhood based on attention and solidarity for the more vulnerable categories.
