The Children's Council
Relations with Administrators
The Children's Council was created thanks to the will of the public administration: it is therefore right and proper that there be a direct relationship with the administrators. According to the issues that it deals with, the Children's Council can ask to meet the various Council members or administration executives. At least once a year, it meets with the City Council to which it illustrates the work it has done, presents its proposals, ideas, requests, protests.
Of course not all the children's request can always be accepted, but it is fundamental that they be taken into consideration and that their needs be met, because there are always unheard needs that regard a wide range of citizens, and not only children. As far as the proposals are concerned, they are often concrete and feasible and in these cases it would be opportune to grant them. If this is not possible, the administrator can discuss it with the children proposing the changes and even suggest what the children didn't dare to ask for or were not even aware of. In any case, it is important that a timing for fulfilment be respected which is "understandable" and acceptable to the children.
