The Children's Council
Organization
The Children's Council must be made up of a limited number of children (preferably not more than 20) so that all of them can express their opinion on the issues under discussion. The Councillors are nominated within the city schools so that they can represent all the children and have a mandate of two, so that they have the time to learn this role, which for them is certainly new. In order to create a simple system of alternation two children are chosen for each school, one from the fourth grade and one from the fifth, a boy and a girl. In order to avoid putting the emphasis on the elections, the nomination takes place by drawing lots. At the end of each year, the fifth year children leave and at the beginning of the following year the new children from the fourth grade will be nominated.
It would be opportune that the Council represent the various conditions of children present in the city: Rom, children with handicaps or that are hospitalised.
